Mega Man X8 16-bit: Vile

"The year is 21XX. Vile, a fearsome Maverick who has repeatedly fought against the forces of justice and order, finally awakens after having spent decades in the grave. Indifferent to whatever good Samaritan resurrected him, Vile sets out to challenge his old rival, X. However, he finds himself in a rapidly-changing society that threatens to replace him and leave him in the dust. Will Vile be able to find meaning in this turbulent world? Or will he just break things, like he always does?"

A mod of Alysson Da Paz's incredible fan game, Mega Man X8 16-bit, which is itself a demake of Capcom's Mega Man X8. This adventure excludes X, Zero, and Axl, making Vile the main character of the game. It includes original sprites for Vile, an entirely re-written script, and minor gameplay tweaks. Original game not required, just download and play!

This mod is still in development. Larger changes including an original moveset for Vile based on his role in Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, revamped Special Weapons, and unique Armor Parts will hopefully be added in the future. Also, only the English localization works at the moment.
